Abstract Submission
ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Dear participants,
The presentation language may be Turkish or English.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is January 16, 2026.
Submitted abstracts will be evaluated by at least two referees. If one referee gives a positive opinion and the other a negative opinion, a third referee will be invited. Abstracts may be returned to the author for correction if necessary after the referee evaluations.
Only oral presentations related to dental education will be accepted at the congress, and each participant may present a maximum of 2 oral presentations.
To have the abstracts included in the congress booklet, the registration form must be completed and presented at the congress.
Our Congress meets the criteria of item 8b of the 2024 October Associate Professorship Application Requirements document, which awards 3 points for "Full text/abstract of work presented at other international/national scientific meetings, published in print/electronic format."
ABSTRACT WRITING GUIDELINES
Abstracts should be prepared in accordance with the following rules:
Abstracts should be prepared in Turkish and English, each no more than 400 words.
The full name, institutional information, and the name of the author presenting the paper should be indicated.
The paper should consist of Introduction, Aim, Method, Results, and Conclusion sections.
All authors (including the corresponding author) should be listed in order in the paper text. It is not mandatory for the corresponding author's name to be first.
Presentations should be planned to last 7 minutes.
Oral presentations delivered at the congress will be published as full texts in the Selçuk Dental Journal (SDJ) upon the authors' request.
FULL TEXT
For oral presentations to be published as full texts in the SDJ, they must be prepared in accordance with the journal's guidelines and, if applicable, documented with ethical committee approvals. All oral presentations to be published as full texts will be evaluated by SDJ reviewers for compliance with SDJ criteria.
FULL TEXT ABSTRACT WRITING GUIDELINES
Full text abstracts should be written in MS Word (docx) format, A4 size (21 cm x 29.7 cm), vertically, with 2.5 cm margins.
The abstract text should be in English, using 12-point Times New Roman font and double spacing.
Title page: After writing the title of the paper (in Turkish and English), the names, titles, institutions, addresses, and ORCID numbers of the authors should be written below the title, in the order they appear in the presentation.
Abstract page: The abstract should be written in Turkish (Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Key Words) and English (Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Key words) in accordance with the abstract submission format. A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 keywords should be included. The word limit for abstracts is 300.
The main text should be written in English. It should include the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Legends, and the word count, excluding the abstract, should be at least 1500 and at most 2500 words. The paper should contain a maximum of 2 tables or figures and a maximum of 10 references. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively within the text.
First-level section headings should be in uppercase and bold, while second-level and other sub-section headings should have the first letter of each word capitalized and in bold.
References are indicated in superscript numbers according to their order of appearance in the main text. For sources with six or fewer authors, all authors are listed; for sources with seven or more authors, only the first three authors are listed, with the others indicated as "ve ark" for Turkish publications and "et al." for English publications. Index Medicus abbreviations should be used for journal names. Articles under review cannot be used as sources.
